DownloadIt depends on the version of your machine's controller. Controllers V10 to V17 (single microcontroller) are driven by VERSOCAM V10 and its firmware. Controllers V18 and V19 (two microcontrollers) are driven only by VERSOCAM V12 and its two firmware packages. The controller version is screen-printed on the controller itself; VERSO can also find it from your machine's serial number.
Yes. The CAD module can be installed on any PC, with no licence. We recommend synchronising it as a slave of the CAD on the machine workstation, through a shared network folder: the tool magazine and other settings then always stay up to date on the design workstation.
Yes. All published releases of V12 are installed free of charge, directly from the machine's CAM module; they bring improvements, fixes and even new features. When the technical platform changes (for example the move from one to two microcontrollers), earlier versions continue to receive fixes and adaptations to new operating systems.
VERSOCAM's CAD imports the formats produced by Illustrator, CorelDRAW and others: DXF, AI, PLT, PDF, HPGL, SVG, EPS, PS and STEP. A colour library lets the CAD pre-assign objects according to their colour; a script pack links Illustrator to VERSOCAM to automate export, and a print & cut library can be downloaded from this page. For print & cut, Caldera generates the cutting files for VERSO machines directly.
Yes. VERSOCAM includes a nesting function to arrange parts on the sheet and reduce waste.
VERSOCAM V12 CAM imports ISO G-code (G0/G01). However, the controller can only be driven by the VERSO CAM software: G-code produced by other software therefore always goes through VERSOCAM.
Yes. With 3D CAM software and a suitable post-processor, the machine runs 3D G-code. Some VERSO customers use VCarve, for example, to generate their 3D G-code.
Yes. A VS or VS+ can be updated free of charge to the latest version 10 of VERSOCAM.
Yes. Many jobs can stay open in the CAD tabs: just click a tab and then the machining button for the CAM to take over, ready to start the job. To machine the same job several times, a single press of the machining button in the CAM restarts it. During production, any parameter can be changed: you can machine only part of a project or move an object on the fly.
The PC, built into the control cabinet, runs Windows IoT Enterprise LTSC. An Internet connection is recommended to share diagnostics easily and install updates, but it is not essential: these operations can also be done manually.
